R5 PoW Consensus
The protocol uses a novel proof-of-work consensus mechanism based on a bespoke implementation of the Nakamoto consensus, with sharper difficulty adjustments, better resource handling, and a custom mining algorithm: Ethash-R5.
Better Execution; More Reliable
Using parallel header verification and with an improved consensus, the R5 Protocol can process upwards of 100Mgas/s; the enhanced processing capacity paired with a block size almost 5x of that of Ethereum, makes R5 extremely resistant to congestions.
Smart Contracts
There is a reason why most fast PoW blockchains are not smart-contract capable: the VM execution brings down performance and degrades TPS. R5 delivers on speed and throughput with smart contract capabilities out of the box.
Opt-in Privacy
On the R5 Blockchain, users have the option to transfer funds via the zkNet protocol using their own Private Internal Addresses (or PIAs), which greatly enhances the privacy of blockchain transactions and helps avoiding balance disclosure and identification on chain.
Developer-Friendly
The R5 protocol is packaged with a range of tools that are part of its Software Development Kit (SDK). These tools are very developer-friendly and makes building on the R5 Network a smooth and pleasing experience.
Decentralized GenAI Streaming
R5 is built with AI and data streaming in mind. With it, developers can create protocols that allow decentralized GenAI streaming on a peer-to-peer basis, where users can interact with generative AI models without any restrictions, pseudonymously and affordably.
